Graphics

UltimateBet’s graphics are pretty good. The table design is 3-D. which gives the table a nice look. and you have the option to choose between a number of different backgrounds to select one that fits your mood. There are no avatars. which may disappoint some people. but overall the design is good.

Playability

Table
UltimateBet’s unique software is excellent. Among the many useful features are player notes facilities and statistics for your play (such as how often you fold preflop). There is also a mini-view option which is great for players who like to play multiple tables. Overall this is classy software.

Lobby
UltimateBet’s lobby is excellent. with statistics for average pot. players per flop. and hands per hour displayed alongside each table. making it easy to spot the right table for you.

Player Numbers

Ring
UltimateBet is in the top five online poker rooms in terms of real-money ring games with peak traffic topping 5000.

Tournament
UltimateBet’s tournament traffic is also very strong. often peaking at over 10.000!

Game Variety

UltimateBet offers a terrific variety of games. Alongside the usual Texas Hold’em. 7 Card Stud. and Omaha games the site also offers Pineapple (a variant of Texas Hold’em). Royal Hold’em (where the cards 2.3.4.5.6.7.8. and 9 have been removed from the deck). and Triple Draw (a variant of five-card draw in which players try to make the lowest hand).

Rake

In some ways UltimateBet’s rake is better than other sites. and in other aspects it is worse. On the plus side the maximum rake for short-handed tables is capped lower than at other sites. meaning you pay less. But the rake drops more frequently. meaning a higher average rake on tables where the maximum rake is rarely reached (lower limit full handed tables).

Special Tournaments

UltimateBet runs a considerable number of guaranteed pot tournaments as well as numerous WSOP qualifiers. There are lots of free rolls and bonus-point free rolls; qualifiers to WPT events. and of course the WPT UltimateBet Aruba Classic. the televised ex-WPT tournament that takes place on the tropical island of Aruba.
