Graphics
Poker Heaven’s table interface is quite attractive and has slick graphics and clean colours, with a four-colour deck option. There are no player avatars and the interface cannot be changed. The player lobby has a clean, classy look and feel to it, and is extremely easy to navigate.
Playability
Table
Poker Heaven’s software is quick and reliable and in recent months a ton of new features have been added. Hand histories are now available as well as all-in percentages which brings a TV feel to the table. The main feature to have been launched is The Player Zone, which enables players to see their rake totals, bonus amounts, special promotions and a rake odds calculator. There are also easy note taking facilities as well as a find-a-player function, and the site allows you to play up to 5 tables at a time.
Lobby
Poker Heaven’s lobby is excellent. All different game types are listed on separate tabs. as are the fixed limit. no limit/pot limit and play money versions of each game. Average pot size. players per flop and hands per hour stats are listed alongside every table and you search by any criteria you like. e.g.: in descending order of average pot size. You can also filter the site to show only tables of a specific currency. say US dollars or Euros.
Player Numbers
Ring
Traffic is pretty high in the lower level Hold’em games. especially $1-$2 and $0.50-$1 NL Hold’em.
Tournament
Tournament traffic is also strong. both in multi-table tournaments and sit-n-gos.
Game Variety
Texas Hold’em. Omaha. Omaha Hi/Lo. 7 Card Stud. 5 Card Stud. and 5 Card Draw.
Rake
Poker Heaven’s rake is excellent. On pot limit and no limit tables it is the same as the industry average. ie: 5% up to a maximum of €3. However low fixed limit tables the rake is much lower with a cap of €1 at the €1/€2 limit tables and even at those levels only €0.25 is raked from a €20 pot.
Special Tournaments
Poker Heaven runs a host of special tournaments. Alongside weekly €75,000 and €20,000 guaranteed tournaments, they run qualifiers to all of the European Poker Tour events, as well as hosting satellites for the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour and Aussie Millions. They also run over €20,000 worth of tournament freerolls each month.
