Graphics
Ladbrokes’ graphics are fine, although there are fancier sites out there. It is a plain layout with no avatars, which some people find a bit monotonous, though others enjoy the simplicity.
Playability
Table
Playability at Ladbrokes is superb. Of the many impressive features one of the best is the option to choose from three different table sizes, the small setting is excellent for people who wish to play multiple tables, while the big setting is great for people with poor eyesight! Ladbrokes have clearly done much consultation with poker professionals in the design of their software and have incorporated touches many other sites have missed. For example on Ladbrokes hands are not always flipped over in all-in situations (mirroring the situation in live play).
Lobby
Ladbrokes’ lobby is fine. It is easy to use and statistics for players per flop and average pot are clearly displayed alongside each table.
Player Numbers
Ring
Ladbrokes was the busiest poker room in Europe before the US ban, and is likely to have picked up even more business since then (Ladbrokes has never accepted US players, even before the ban). Like most sites it has lots of low to medium stakes cash games, but it also has great traffic in high stakes cash games.
Tournament
Ladbrokes’ tournaments are terrific, with lots of special events (see below) and plenty of players contributing to big prize pools.
Game Variety
Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 card stud and 5 card stud. This is about the standard game variety for online poker rooms, but where Ladbrokes differs to most other sites is that its non-Hold’em games are actually quite busy. In particular there are o
Rake
The rake at Ladbrokes is roughly the industry average, though it is slightly higher in low stakes games with a max rake of $1.5 whereas most sites cap it at $1. The tournament rake is the industry standard – 20% at $5 buy-ins and 10% for all the rest.
Special Tournaments
Ladbrokes has a terrific range of tournaments on offer, including the flagship Ladbrokes Poker Million, with the biggest first prize in European poker. Ladbrokes also run satellites to the WSOP, and countless guaranteed pot tournaments. Then there is the annual Ladbrokes Poker Cruise (a $5000 NL HE tournament held during a cruise around the Caribbean) and qualifiers to other live tournaments around Europe.

About Ladbrokes
Ladbrokes is one of the oldest British gambling companies, which was established in 1886. From 1987 until February 2006 Ladbrokes owned the international Hilton Hotel business, and was known as The Hilton Group Plc. However in February 2006 The Hilton Group Plc sold off its hotel operations and renamed itself Ladbrokes, announcing it planned to concentrate solely on gambling opportunities, particularly in Asia.
The Ladbrokes brand is one of the oldest and most recognised betting brands in the UK. The company owns over 2000 betting shops across the country and is trusted across the nation.
Ladbrokes’ online operation is similarly trusted and Ladbrokes.com now has over 2 million registered users. It uses software powered by the Prima Poker network, however Ladbrokes has worked with Prima to develop unique software for it’s site, and Ladbrokes Poker does not share its player base with other sites on the network.
