Pacific Poker, is owned and operated by 888.com - one of the biggest online gaming companies in the world. Above all Pacific Poker is known for its loose games and wild play. Because Pacific advertises so much, there are always lots of new players online and in the past it was often possible to find multiple tables with view flop percentages of over 80 percent – which is quite extraordinary. Things have calmed down a bit since then, but Pacific Poker still has by far the loosest games on the net, making it a dream site for building your bankroll. Read More...

Graphics
Pacific Poker’s graphics have improved a lot over the years. Recent upgrades have helped Pacific to generate a more ‘real’ poker room feel and the tables are spacious and clutter free. The only complaint is that there are still no avatars, although a lot of players prefer this simple layout.
Playability
Table
We have been fairly critical of Pacific Poker’s software in the past, but their most recent software update has dramatically improved the site bringing it in line with other market leaders in this area. The site now supports note taking on opponents, and holds hand history statistics. The most important recent development however, is the addition of multi-tabling software, enabling players to play up to five tables simultaneously.
Lobby
Pacific Poker’s lobby has also improved dramatically. It now shows view flop percentages for each table (a very useful stat in determining where the loose games are) as well as hands per hour and average pot size.
Player Numbers
Ring
Very good. Pacific poker has huge player numbers which are increasing all the time due to advertising and the addition of games. The highest traffic is for fixed limit Texas Hold’em ring games and Texas Hold’em tournaments. At peak times Pacific has over 2000 ring game players.
Tournament
Excellent. Pacific Poker now has some of the highest tournament figures on the net. Real-money tournament player numbers now peak at over 55,000 – the third highest on the net.
Game Variety
Texas Hold’em, Omaha High, Omaha High/Low, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud High/Low. This is about average for online poker rooms, but Pacific Poker is let down because it only offers fixed limit games for all except Texas Hold’em. There isn’t even pot-limit Omaha!
Rake
Unlike most sites, Pacific Poker’s rake is most reasonable at the lowest limit tables, and most taxing at the highest limit tables. There is a maximum rake of $5 on the $50/$100 tables, almost twice the industry average! But at limits below $1/$2 there is a maximum rake of $1, which is pretty decent value.
Special Tournaments
There are lots of daily freerolls. weekly $50.000 and $25.000 guaranteed pot tournaments. and weekly qualifiers for the 2006 WSOP.
