Victor Chandler to offer biggest prize in history of online poker
When you think of the really big online poker rooms what springs to mind? PartyPoker? PokerStars? Full Tilt? Well how about Victor Chandler? No? Well think again. Because VC Poker are about to launch a series of poker tournaments in which they’ll give away over $10 million; the largest prize in online poker history.
Victor Chandler’s “Grand Slam” tournament series is inspired by the Grand Slam tennis (and golf) competitions, which stand head and shoulders above the rest of the year’s events. Few people in history have ever won a single Grand Slam event, but to complete a Grand Slam sweep (winning all four Grand Slam’s in a calendar year) is considered one of the greatest feats in sport.
Well now VC Poker is looking to crown its very own Grand Slam champion during a series of four tournaments taking place over four consecutive weeks. The first tournament took place last Sunday, a $50,000 guaranteed tournament with entries restricted to 999.
This coming Sunday sees a $60,000 guaranteed tournament, followed by a $75,000 on Dec 17th, and a $100,000 on Dec 24th. No tournament will be bigger than 999 players, giving any potential Grand Slam champion the best possible chance to win.
If anyone does manage the incredible feat of winning all four tournaments they will be rewarded with a $10,000,000 bonus prize, the biggest single prize in the history of online poker. But there are other prizes on offer as well. Win three of the four tournaments and you’ll collect $5,000,000, which would also be the biggest online prize to date.
But if you can’t manage that you can still win up to $250,000, just by finishing on the final table of two or more of these tournaments, a far more realistic prospect. You would also get the chance to become a VC Poker sponsored player.
Ed note: why not sign up with VC Poker today? It may be too late to win the $10,000,000, but let’s face it, was that ever a realistic prospect!? Better to try and make two final tables and become a sponsored player with $250,000 in his pocket. I’d settle for that!
