Bond Villain proves his poker credentials
The general consensus about the substantial poker scene in the latest James Bond movie was that while the hands may have been improbable, the acting was superb. Well now we know why.

Mads Mikkelsen, the actor who plays the Bond villain “Le Chiffre”, played in a poker tournament in his native Denmark last week and walked away with the top prize. As Le Chiffre in the James Bond film Mikkelsen proved a match for the British secret agent on the fictional poker table, and he has now shown why he was so convincing in the film.

Mikkelsen won the BET24 tournament with pocket jacks, a hand he trounced Bond with in the early stages of the make-believe poker tournament, when he hit quad jacks to beat Bond’s aces full of kings.
