Absolute Poker and UltimateBet to merge?
The poker world is buzzing with the rumour that UltimateBet and Absolute Poker are set to announce a merger today.
Rumours of a possible merger between the two sites have been circulating for weeks now, but the intensity of the rumours has increased dramatically over the last few days, with all signs pointing to an announcement being made sometime today.
Speculation is currently rife as to what form the merger will take, with many predicting that it will be the UltimateBet brand that is retained, while others suggest that both brands may stay independent, at least in the short term.
Both poker rooms are already major players in the online poker market, though a merger between the two would create a genuine top five poker room, with a player base to match the world’s biggest online poker rooms.
Keep your eyes out for more news on the subject, which will be posted on WhichPoker as soon as it happens.
