Boss of Hooters dies
The chairman of the Hooters, the restaurant chain famous across the globe for its scantily clad waitresses, has died.

Robert Brooks 69, made a fortune from the company, which opened in 1983. Open about the secret of Hooters’ success, Brooks was famous for saying that “good food, cold beer and pretty girls never go out of style”.

Brooks was scathing of criticism of Hooters for allegedly exploiting attractive women, saying such claims are “as ridiculous as suggesting the NFL exploits men who are big and fast”.

Hooters has 425 restaurants in 20 countries, and employs over 15,000 “Hooters Girls”.

A post mortem said Brooks died of natural causes.
