California plumber wins WSOPC event
A 32-year-old plumber from California won the World Series of Poker Circuit event in Lake Tahoe yesterday, beating a host of WSOP Champions and established poker pros in the process.

In his first major tournament win Clint Baskin, from Stockton in California, picked up over $370,000 and the famous gold ring awarded to WSOPC winners.

Amongst those bested by Baskin were 1995 WSOP champion Dan Harrington, 2000 WSOP champion and multiple bracelet winners and WPT stars in “Miami” John Cernuto, Allen Cunnigham, Chau Giang, Barry Greenstein, John Juanda, Daniel Negreanu, Erick Seidel and Bob Stupak.

By final table time the most famous name left was J.C. Tran, but he could only manage 6th place, leaving the title and the big money to Baskin.
