Full Tilt Poker’s foray into boxing sponsorship ends in a split pot
Full Tilt Poker dabbled in a bit of boxing sponsorship over the last weekend, picking a promising title fight for their second venture into this sort of sponsorship.

The interestingly named Winky Wright was their man, fighting Jermain Taylor in the World Championship Boxing Middleweight Showdown live on HBO sports.

Winky Wright was trying to wrestle the belt off current WBC champion Jermain Taylor, thereby becoming the undisputed middleweight champion of the world. Decked out in Full Tilt Poker branded gear Wright fought well and hard, but was unable to deliver the knock out blow in a fight that went the full distance. The result was a draw.

Disappointingly for Wright and Full Tilt the draw meant that Taylor got to keep the belt, as he hadn’t lost the fight. Still, better than Wright going down in the first and the fight being over in 5 minutes!
