WPT to make stop in Canada
The World Poker Tour is to include a stop in Canada for its forthcoming series, it was announced today. The spectacular Niagra Fallsview Casino will host the first ever WPT event on Canadian soil when the tour stops by in October this year for the third annual North America Poker Championship.
An enthusiastic Steve Lipscomb, founder and CEO of WPT Enterprises Inc., said: “By staging the North American Poker Championship in this beautiful Canadian casino, we put out the welcome mat for all poker enthusiasts in Canada and truly lay down the gauntlet to see who can reign supreme on the continent."
The Niagra Fallsview Casino is Canada’s premiere casino, with over 150 gaming tables, 3000 slot machines and a state of the art poker room. It will becomes the third international location on the tour alongside the Avaiation Club in Paris and the Atlantis rtesort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas (which hosts PokerStars’ Caribbean Adventure).

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have been slightly down on last year the Rio is still buzzing with thousands of poker players, and the overall feeling is definitely positive, especially for these lot:

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, and as we get further into proceedings it seems the pro players are beginning to get their teeth stuck into the final tables.
