Gold and Crispin settle lawsuit
WSOP Champion Jamie Gold and plaintiff Bruce Crispin Leyser have settled their $12 million lawsuit out of court, accoding to a release by the Associated Press earlier this morning.

PartyPoker’s future looking bright
When the US Congress passed a law banning online gaming in October 2006 it looked as if time had been called on the PartyPoker empire. But in the months since Party has been quietly but steadily re-building, and when its annual report is released this March it is likely to paint a pretty picture.

PartyGaming’s shares rise in light of possible EU challenge to UIGEA
Shares in PartyGaming, the operators of PartyPoker.com, were on the rise yesterday after speculation that the EU may mount a challenge to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).

2007 French EPT is cancelled
The European Poker Tour has been forced to cancel the French Open, it was revealed last week, due to pressure from the French authorities.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have been slightly down on last year the Rio is still buzzing with thousands of poker players, and the overall feeling is definitely positive, especially for these lot:
