WSOP Championship: The Final Table awaits
When play started today at 12pm the 27 players who sat down at the felt knew that 18 of them would be going home. They also knew that three of them would be going home over one million dollars richer.

WSOP Championship: Day Five – speed poker leaves everyone in need of a rest
The World Series of Poker championship event has turned into a speed poker tournament, unbeknownst to those who designed it. Perhaps the rapid pace of Internet tournaments and the prevalence of such players in this year’s event have had a more profound effect than we anticipated, but we are well ahead of schedule and an impromptu day of rest is looming.

Day Three at the WSOP main event used to be known as ‘moving day’. It was the day on which players rose to the top or fell by the wayside, setting the tone or the remaining few days of the championship.

WSOP Championship: Day Three – We’re in the money!
It’s the day that matters most. Payday. After six days of the main-event we’ve lost over 8000 players and almost all the big stars, but those that made it to around 7pm on Day Three were going to be going home with money in their pocket.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have been slightly down on last year the Rio is still buzzing with thousands of poker players, and the overall feeling is definitely positive, especially for these lot:

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, and as we get further into proceedings it seems the pro players are beginning to get their teeth stuck into the final tables.
