Police release further details of case against Richard Lee
Some of the mystery surrounding the case against the 2006 WSOP sixth place finisher Richard Lee was cleared up recently when the San Antonio Police Department released the affidavit for a search warrant which contains some of the evidence against him.

PartyPoker Monster: Week Two - Maria80111 takes top spot as prize pool grows to over $10 million
Week Two of history’s biggest online poker tournament concluded last Saturday when a monstrous 4600 players gathered at PartyPoker’s virtual felt to take a shot at the $100,000 prizepool. While only 7 players were guaranteed a $1000+ payday, a whopping 2000 entrants would receive entry into the monthly $1 million tournament, meaning there was plenty up for grabs.

Harrah’s in takeover bid for London casino company
Harrah’s Entertainment Inc., owner of the WSOP brand, has made a bid approach to buy the London based casino firm London Clubs International (LCI). The bid is apparently supported by the LCI board.

Police raid house of Richard Lee (6th in WSOP main-event)
Was this the most controversial final table in World Series history? Not for the poker that is, but for the behaviour of the players off the felt. World Champion Jamie Gold is currently being sued for half his winnings after allegedly reneging on a deal, and now it has emerged that Richard Lee, the much-liked sixth placed finisher, is being investigated for illegal gambling.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have been slightly down on last year the Rio is still buzzing with thousands of poker players, and the overall feeling is definitely positive, especially for these lot:

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, and as we get further into proceedings it seems the pro players are beginning to get their teeth stuck into the final tables.
