WSOP Update: Jeff Madsen takes down Event #22
Jeff Madsen is not doing too badly so far this WSOP. Already with a third place finish in the Omaha Hi/Lo event and $97,500 to show for it, he then went two better, winning the coveted bracelet and a much bigger payday!

After the excitement of the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E event had died down we remembered that there were still WSOP events being played, and still bracelets (not to mention millions of dollars) to be won.

WSOP Update: Epic heads-up H.O.R.S.E battle brings fitting end to greatest ever WSOP tournament
This was the WSOP event the world had been dreaming of. Ever since Harrah’s scheduled the $50,000 buy-in H.O.R.S.E event for this year’s WSOP people have been whispering that this could be the greatest WSOP event in history, and that the winner could truly be proclaimed the world champion of poker. Sure enough, the H.O.R.S.E event was everything the world was hoping for, and more.

WSOP Update: $50,000 H.O.R.S.E tournament lives up to high expectations
Event #20, the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E tournament is perhaps the most eagerly anticipated event of this year’s WSOP. Featuring a buy-in fives times the size of the championship event and providing the toughest test of player’s ability with five different poker disciplines this, say the players and the pundits, will be the one to watch.

WSOP Update: Event #19 – Clare Miller wins Seniors NL Hold’em
Never have records tumbled with such predictability than at this year’s World Series of Poker. There has barely been a single tournament which has not exceeded its 2004 in terms of entrants and prize money so that it is no longer a question of “if”, but “by how much”.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have been slightly down on last year the Rio is still buzzing with thousands of poker players, and the overall feeling is definitely positive, especially for these lot:

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, and as we get further into proceedings it seems the pro players are beginning to get their teeth stuck into the final tables.
