PartyPoker launches weekly $1 million guaranteed pot tournament
Just one year ago the biggest guaranteed tournament on PartyPoker was $350,000; and that was a monthly event. Now, as of last Sunday (June 4th), the world’s biggest online poker room is hosting a weekly tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. What a difference 12 months can make.  Read more..

Arrested poker players plan to challenge law in court
A group of Mount Pleasant poker players who were arrested in April for gambling have asked the judge for a jury trial in an attempt to amend the state’s 200-year-old laws on card and dice games.  Read more..
