Bill become law and Harrah’s say online qualifiers for WSOP will not count

PokerStars.com to stay in US market, so too NETeller
In a press release that will have warmed the hearts of online poker players from New York to L.A., PokerStars.com, the second biggest online poker room worldwide (now probably the biggest) has confirmed it will continue to accept US players in the aftermath of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA).  Read more..

Alex Jacob wins US Poker Championship
One of the youngest stars on the poker circuit, Alex Jacob, won his first major event on Sunday when he beat all-comers at the US Poker Championship’s $10,000 buy-in main event, taking his tally of live earnings for 2006 to over $1.6 million.  Read more..

Amarillo Slim shot at in attempted robbery
Add another chapter to the life story of the legendary Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston, because at 78 years old his adventures are far from over. In the early hours of Wednesday morning Slim escaped from an attempted armed robbery, apparently unhurt.  Read more..

20/06/2007 10:56:26 2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29 We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won. 18/06/2007 11:38:58 2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26 With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage.
