WSOP Championship Event: Day One (B)
One down, three to go, and that means another 6000+ players waiting to take their turn at the fabled felt of the World Series of Poker. As expected there were marginally more players than on Day One, with an extra 44 players contributing to a total of 2182 players beginning Day Two. That means we are well on course for a total of nearly 9000 players, and a first prize of over $12 million.

WSOP Update: Main-Event Day One (A)
Finally it has arrived. The Big One is upon us. And How! 2138 players started today, meaning the total number of entrants is gong to be at least 8400, and possibly as high as 8800.

WSOP Update: Hellmuth ecstatic with 10th WSOP win
Phil Hellmuth might just be the happiest man in Las Vegas. For the last year Hellmuth has been the nearly man of the World Series of Poker. He has been the man with nine WSOP bracelets, one less than Johnny Chan and Doyle Brunson. Well not any more.

WSOP Update: Mats Rahmn wins Event #27
The $1500 NL Hold’em event drew the first really huge field in the WSOP for a few days. 2126 players paid up to create a prize pool of $2.9 million, one of the biggest of the 2006 World Series so far.

2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29
We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won.

2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26
With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have been slightly down on last year the Rio is still buzzing with thousands of poker players, and the overall feeling is definitely positive, especially for these lot:

2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21
The WSOP continues to roll on, and as we get further into proceedings it seems the pro players are beginning to get their teeth stuck into the final tables.
