Magnus Petersson is first EPT champion of 2007
It was the 29-year old Swede's first appearance on the European Poker Tour but it seems unlikely to be his last, after Magnus Petersson from Stockholm collected the €550,000 ($715,000) first prize and the title of Scandinavian Poker Open champion in Copenhagen last weekend.  Read more..

The Great Dane wins Aussie Millions
One of the most successful tournament poker players of the modern era notched yet another victory last week as Gus Hansen took down first place in the Aussie Millions, collecting $1.5 million Australian dollars, equivalent to $1,184,900 USD.  Read more..

Aussie Millions main-event: 14 play down to 7
The penultimate day of the Aussie Millions was always bound to be the shortest day of the tournament so far with just seven elminations required before the final table was settled and play would end for the day.  Read more..

Aussie Millions Main Event Day Three: 80 play down to 14, big guns still in the running
While a number of pros put in good perfomances on Day Three of the Aussie Millions main-event, ultimately the day belonged to one man, or should i say boy. Jimmy "gobboboy" Fricke, aged just 19, started the day third in chips and ended as the runaway chip leader after a string of remarkable bust-outs and suck-outs which sent the watching crowd into a frenzy.  Read more..

20/06/2007 10:56:26 2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29 We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time.
