Everyone wants a piece of Gold: World Champ is sued for $6 million
It always seems to go the same way. When someone wins the lottery, the pools, or in this case the World Series of Poker there are always a few people who want a piece of it. Invariably family you never knew existed and friends who haven’t been ‘friends’ for years miraculously appear on your doorstep all eager to take you out to dinner or invite you to use their house in the country. Prison for Lehigh Bank Robber
An upstanding university student from Lehigh in Pennsylvania was recently sentenced to prison for a bank robbery he committed in order to pay off online gambling debts. Gregory Horan Jnr. committed the robbery in December last year with two fraternity brothers waiting obliviously in a car outside. He has been sentenced to ten years in prison.  Read more..

WSOP Champion signs with Bodog
Sure, it’s not a surprise, but it is news nevertheless. Jamie Gold, the richest tournament poker player in history (albeit from one win only) has penned a deal with Bodog, the online poker room that bought him in to the WSOP main-event.  Read more..

“High Stakes Poker” commissions third season: invites Jamie Gold
If you haven’t yet managed to catch GSN’s High Stakes Poker then let me tell you you’re missing out on the best poker show ever made. Now I’m not prone to making those sorts of sweeping statements, because normally they are simply not true, but in the case of High Stakes Poker (HSP) I’m prepared to make an exception.  Read more..

20/06/2007 10:56:26 2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29 We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won. 18/06/2007 11:38:58 2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26 With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage.
