PokerStars holds record breaking Sunday Million tournament
No-one quite yet knows what the future holds for PokerStars, but if it’s even half as rosy as the last few weeks have been, then they ought to think about adding Senator Bill Frist (the architect of the UIGEA bill) to their Christmas card list.  Read more..

First ever WPT Festa Al Lago: 415 down, 18 to go
The latest addition to the World Poker Tour circuit, the Festa al Lago tournament, kicked off at the Bellagio this Monday with a bang. 433 of the world’s most talented poker players crammed themselves into the Bellagio’s famous poker room (as well as the nearby Fontana Bar); all attracted by the double stack format and the $1 million + first prize.  Read more..

BetOnSports reaches agreement with Department of Justice
BetOnSports Plc., whose former CEO David Carruthers was arrested in July, have reached a preliminary agreement to end the litigation against it by the US government. Terms of the agreement have not yet been disclosed.  Read more..

UltimateBet network sold to Maltese company
Excapsa Software Inc., the company behind the online gaming network that included UltimateBet on its books, has accepted a $130 million buy-out for all shares of its subsidiaries: Game Theory Holdings ltd. and Excapsa Services Inc. They money has been put up by a company called Blast Off Ltd.  Read more..

20/06/2007 10:56:26 2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29 We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won. 18/06/2007 11:38:58 2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26 With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage. Although numbers have been slightly down on last year the Rio is still buzzing with thousands of poker players, and the overall feeling is definitely positive, especially for these lot: 14/06/2007 17:16:34 2007 WSOP: Events #17 - #21 The WSOP continues to roll on, and as we get further into proceedings it seems the pro players are beginning to get their teeth stuck into the final tables.
