Stu Ungar was one of the greatest poker players of all time, a three times WSOP champion and winner of countless other major tournaments. Gavin Smith wins WPT Player of the Year
Gavin Smith, winner of the 2005 WPT Mirage Poker Showdown has been named the WPT Player of the Year for season IV, following in the footsteps of fellow Canadian Daniel Negreanu, who was last years winner.  Read more..

Joe Bartholdi wins WPT Championship
Joe Bartholdi, a California pro whose biggest tournament win stood at $71,445, yesterday won the WPT Championship at the Bellagio, pocketing $3,760,165 in the process, the biggest pay check in WPT tournament history.  Read more..

20/06/2007 10:56:26 2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29 We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time.
