WPT North American Championship: O Canada! Turkewitsch wins $1.3 million
The first ever World Poker Tour event to be held in Canada drew a stellar roster of star players and a huge crowd of dedicated fans. In total 497 players took their turn at the green baize to try for their share of the $4.8 million prize pool, and when just six remained the final table was a perfect mix: one poker superstar and five hopeful Canadians.  Read more..

PartyGaming and 888 Holdings in merger talks

Cryptologic develops tournament leaderboard

WPT North American Poker Championship kicks off over Niagara Falls
Last week saw the newest addition to the World Poker Tour, the Festa al Lago tournament, take place from the familiar confines of the Bellagio’s poker room in Vegas. Though impressive, it has to be said the Bellagio pales in comparison to the location of the latest addition to the WPT: Fallsview, overlooking the spectacular Niagara Falls.  Read more..

WPT Festa al Lago: 23 year old Norwegian captures $1 million first prize
A 23 year old Norwegian pro has become the latest World Poker Tour winner after capturing the Festa al Lago title at the Bellagio, holding off five more experienced contenders at the final table to capture the $1,090,025.  Read more..

20/06/2007 10:56:26 2007 WSOP: Events 27 – 29 We have now passed the half way line in the 2007 World Series, and some of the more exciting events are fast approaching, such as the $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship and the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship, which last year produced one of the highest quality final tables of all time. In the meantime however, there is still plenty of money and jewellery to be won. 18/06/2007 11:38:58 2007 WSOP: Events 21 to 26 With 26 events now played the 2007 WSOP is almost at the half way stage.
