Graphics

Absolute Poker’s table interface is ok. if a little cluttered. Players have the option to replace the Absolute Poker avatar with their own image. which is a nice touch. but as many players do not do this the table rather resembles an Absolute Poker billboard. which can be a little bit grating at times.

Playability

Table
Absolute Poker’s software is quick. reliable and packed with useful features. With hand history. player notes functions. statistics. and locate-a-player software provided alongside all the usual features it is an easy and rewarding site to play at.

Lobby
Absolute Poker’s lobby is excellent. All different game forms are listed on separate tabs. as are the fixed limit. no limit/pot limit and play money versions of those games within those tabs. making searching for games an easy exercise. Average pot size. players per flop and hands per hour stats are listed alongside every table and you can even search by these criteria. e.g.: in descending order of average pot size.

Player Numbers

Ring
Traffic is mostly concentrated on low limit Hold’em games up to around the $1-$2 and $2-$4 NL levels although traffic at higher level games is increasing all the time. Real money player number typically peak at around 1250.

Tournament
Tournament traffic for Absolute is better and ATT’s fill up very quickly. especially for buy-ins of around $40 and below. Peak traffic is around the 6000 mark.

Game Variety

Texas Hold’em. Omaha. Omaha Hi/Lo. 7 Card Stud. 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo and Razz. This is an excellent game variety though it should be noted that Absolute’s real-money traffic is mostly concentrated on Hold’em games.

Rake

Absolute Poker’s rake is the industry average: a maximum of 5% up to a maximum of $3 with a no-flop. no-drop policy.
